VW are notoriously unreliable and expensive to repair. Keep up to GM, Ford, Honda and Toyota, if you are all concerned about the maintenance!
Even a simple oil change into a VW cost at least twice, requiring a synthesis of VW ... specifically Mobil 1 0W-40 or 5W-40 ... Nothing Else! VW and many other elements in use are unnecessary and costly.
If you buy a Volkswagen Golf GTI or buy. Both vehicles are in general better with low maintenance costs. The Jetta turbo blow as usual.
